Construction and Design of Composite Structures Using REVIT, RFEM, and Excel

Modern software packages in the construction industry are increasingly relying on Building Information Modeling (BIM). Various software producers present such programs as the future of modern design. The possibilities of the BIM technology seem to be almost limitless.

In this thesis, the coupling of BIM software and a structural analysis program is analyzed from the point of various application areas. This is done explicitly using the example of the BIM program Autodesk Revit Structure 2011 and the structural analysis software Dlubal RFEM4.
