I've recently started learning RFEM and am having difficulty with seismic design.On my model, comparable Lateral Force is more than Modal Base Shear. I want to raise modal base shear so that it equals the comparable lateral force. I altered the scale factor, but the equivalent force and modal base shear rose simultaneously.Can somebody tell me how to scale only modal base shear using a scale factor or any other method? I can email you my model if you want to view it and help me.

Adjust the scale factor: Instead of just changing the scale factor for the entire model, consider adjusting specific factors related to bottom shear. You can try changing the scale factor for each part of the structure. papa louie
