Hello,
I have a problem with the interpretation of the results of the surface element.
So, I've made a simple model as shown in image 1.
Pic 1
Each wall segment is 10m long, 3m high and has a thickness of 0.2m. Slabs are 5x10m and they are loaded with 4 kN/m2 each. Self-weight is not included. I've also made a result beam of one wall so I can analyze it as a column but when I run analysis I think these results are a little off.
Normal force N diagrams are shown in picture 2.
The first and the last value are ok, those were excepted, but I was wondering why normal force changes gradually on places where the slab is connected because I was expecting it to change as I've drawn on picture 3 with blue line (increments of 100kN without any change form slab to slab?
I hope I made clear what is bothering me, so any help will help.
Thanks in advance!
