Dear all,
recently I'm experiencing some problems with results of my calculations.
I have made a shade membrane, with edge cables, fixed on 2 masts.
the problem is, in some load cases the internal forces in the edge cables have a value, as expected, and in other cases the force is zero.
I've attached 2 sceens from the 2 load cases.

At first sight I saw that once the load is related to the true area and once to the projected area. Whether the problem is really related to this I cannot say. It would be good if you could upload the RFEM file as well (without results).

Hallo Frank,
indeed, the snow load is projected on the projected area and the dead weight on the true area.
Anyway, the edge cables will be loaded and I would like to have the forces.
By the way, the deformations are visible.

Thanks for the file. Unfortunately, this is a problem in version RFEM 5.20. In the current customer version 5.21 the display of forces works without any problems. Please install the current version. You can simply download the trail version here:

The new version automatically detects your license.

thanks for the support, is it possible to download the normal version as I already have a student license for a longer period of time than 3 months?
Trial is only 3 months lincense.
