Question

Why is it not possible to start the new RFEM Version 5.19 with the previous authorization?

Answer:
Our authorization has a service entry. This entry describes whether a customer has purchased our software with a valid service contract (Basic, Pro) or without a service contract.

For users who have a service contract, the end date related to the service contract concluded with us is stored in the entry. This form of authorization then accepts all assigned versions with a creation date before this date.

If the user has no service contract, only the version number (for example, 5.19 [major release number].[minor version number]) that is current as of the software purchase date is stored. In this case, the authorization only accepts the assigned versions with the same major and minor version numbers.
