RFEM 5.xx |

Structural Analysis and Design Software |
RFEM is a powerful 3D FEA program helping structural engineers to meet requirements in modern civil engineering. Intuitive handling, user friendliness and efficient data input make working with RFEM easy.
The RFEM program family is based on a modular system. The main program RFEM is used to define structures, materials and loads for planar and spatial structural systems consisting of plates, walls, shells and members. Creating combined structures as well as modeling solid and contact elements is also possible.
RFEM provides deformations, internal and support forces as well as soil contact stresses. Add-on modules facilitate the data input by creating structures as well as connections automatically and perform further analyses and designs.
The modular approach allows you to combine all programs individually according to your needs. Upgrades at a later time are always possible. RFEM offering numerous interfaces represents the perfect tool for a smooth interaction between CAD and structural analysis in Building Information Modeling (BIM).

| New Features in RFEM 5 We have implemented some new interesting tools in RFEM 5. Please find a summary of all new features under the link below. More information... |

Graphical User InterfaceYou can create structural models in a CAD-like user interface, in tables or by a combination of both input options. Extensive context menus help you to enter data. As an analysis model is visualized in a photo-realistic representation, checking input immediately is guaranteed. |

ModelingUseful help functions and tools for generating structures including loads facilitate the modeling. Furthermore, you can model member nonlinearities (yielding, tearing, slippage, friction etc.) as well as couplings or eccentricities for members and surfaces. |

||
Automatic Creation of CombinationsIn RFEM you can create load and result combinations automatically according to Eurocode and other international standards by taking account of the corresponding combination rules. Moreover, you can copy, add or renumber load cases which are provided in a clearly-arranged table. In addition, it is possible to control load cases and combinations in tables 2.1 to 2.6. |

CalculationThe model is calculated linearly according to linear-static analysis, or nonlinearly according to second-order or large deformation analysis. It is possible to superimpose the results in combinations to determine design internal forces. |

Results OutputInternal forces, deformations and support forces are displayed in tables or shown in the model graphic. Moreover, you can use filter criteria to select specific results. All data is documented in a multilingual printout report. Its contents can be adjusted and stored as a template. In addition, it is possible to work in both the printout report and RFEM at the same time. Finally, you can export the report in a RTF or PDF file. |

Project ManagementThe Project Manager of RFEM manages structures and projects in a central place. Detailed settings and graphics make the assignment of all models easier so that job processing can be carried out quickly. |

InterfacesRFEM provides a large number of integrated interfaces to ensure that structural analysis is involved in a continuous project workflow supported by computer data processing. |
